I think I vaguely remember hearing they generally keep 10% for replacements. How much you guys think they kept as replacement fodder?

Why would they lie? They sent out an email announcing its release and it's a pretty well thought of album. Some were wondering on Reddit if that was too few and that it could've been a RHH ROTM.
It's a pretty color & they have a dedicated audience. Eric Dolphy sold out in a month or so while Newbury's variant of the same record sat in the store for YEARSDid I say they lied about anything? I just said its fishy. Yah its a well thought of album but its from '95, has a solid and readily available repress, and most people who love it already have it. I just don't see where this crazy demand is coming from.
Normally I might agree. But it’s not like titles are selling out left and right the day they become available. That’s a pretty rare occurrence, that is generally reserved for big time albums or highly anticipated new releases. This is definitely the former and should have been a RHH AOTM.Did I say they lied about anything? I just said its fishy. Don't forget about the random 15 or so copies that they will find the next time they run a warehouse inventory sometime in the next 2 or 3 years.

Wow. I... did not expect that to go so fast.
That’s the way it goes around here though. The rap exclusives seems to sell the fastest and a lot of the rap fans don’t care about pressing details, which is evident by the r/hh track selling out quite often when they are just varients. It seems fishy as fuck to me that a readily available hip-hop LP sold 1000 copies in 2 hours.
5 per.Was there a limit per customer on this one?
It’s because that album isWow. I... did not expect that to go so fast.
5 per.
I had to grab one after I saw that. Shit goes super fast when they open it to sharks.
You'll find out when they suddenly appear for sale on Tuesday August 25, 2020.How much you guys think they kept as replacement fodder?
Copies already up on eBay for double the price.Opening it up to 5 per person is crappy. 2 per would make sense so you could buy an extra for a buddy. No one needs to buy 5 of one title.
