Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

This phrase is also key "you return in good condition" ... who's to say what their definition of good condition is? What if they arrived to you all dinged up in the first place? Why am I responsible for packing this in probably a better way than it arrived to me in? They should be thankful that they get them back in any condition whatsoever.

Good condition means not warped.

Oh wait...

Those same people, often, have no idea how to ship, which is what concerns me.

I don't really agree with this. They definitely have paid staffers (storfers) on there hyping people up and smugly responding to/deflecting any legitimate concern. I've seen endless comments like, "Hey. I love VMP and really appreciate you coming on here to fill us in. Not complaining, but wondering if there's any updates on the __ you said was coming I still haven't gotten mine or heard anything. THanks!"

Get downvoted to shit. Until about a week ago, any post asking a question got downvoted to shit

It’s geurilla marketing 101 and aligns with many of their other popular geurilla marketing tactics. It is completely free and the ROI on being able to sway popular opinion amongst a target audience is enough to get a president elected. Honestly, if they weren’t doing this then they are dumb and antiquated, neither of which I think they are.

I'd like to see what constitutes "good condition" and what they deny, based on their new exchange policy.

lololol "inspect them"

right.

"Alright crack VMP Inspection Team form up, form up, on me...
Okay look guys, here's the deal... last month there was a teensy weensy little boo boo involving some of these here records. We MAY.. AND I STRESS... MAY... NO ONE HAS PROVEN ANYTHING, we MAY have sent all 1000 copies to like 17 people. APPARENTLY that's not what was on the docket... We've identified where the issue MAY have arisen, so Larry, Stewie, Jeanie, Bobby, Norbert, Phil, Tom, Peter, Jose, Bill, Cindy, Cathy, Macy, Casey, Nancy and Drew you guys get five minutes less for lunch today... JUST IN CASE IT'S OUR FAULT BUT NO ONE HAS PROVEN ANYTHING. Pam, you were off that day so you get your regular lunch.
Okay so crack VMP Inspection Team! I've sent out several emails regarding the inspections that we're going to be undertaking for the returns of these records. Before we send them back out to other subscribers there is an extensive checklist that you MUST follow before you are to approve any incoming packages for re-shipping. I will now go though the comprehensive list point by point, if anyone needs to go to the bathroom I suggest you do it now...

Okay, Point one: Find wherever the incoming shipment has been put. People I can't stress this enough, you must find the package first. We aren't used to this so these could be anywhere folks, under desks, behind curtains, accidental doorstop, on top of toilet, next to toilet, behind toilet, in toilet... keep your eyes open people.

Point Too: Open box, does it contain records? If the answer is yes continue to Point 3. If not put box back where you found it and keep looking.

Point 3: Do the records say the words "Mobb Deep" on them? If the answer is yes continue to Point For, if not follow the second phase of the instructions from the previous point.

Point For: Congratulations you have found some "Mobb Deep" records! Remove them from box and ship indiscriminantly to anyone on the order list you see fit, have some fun with this people, it's the holidays...

And that's it!
Go VMPeam!

I just came up with that.
It's like TEAM but it's our name!
Damn that's good.
Gary let's get a trademark on that, actually let's get half of you working on the "VMPeam" trademark, the rest of you can deal with these Mobb Def records."

But where are Karen and Chad?????

Are they saying if you don't send back all of the extras they sent you that are now yours
They are saying that. Legally those records are yours. Sending them back in sincerely a favor customers would be doing for the company. Even if they sent you 200, you could send back 5, get your $35 credit and 5* raffle tickets, *pending inspection, and keep the rest.

Another detail they overlooked... can people win more than one prize? Because if I was sending back 20+ records I would feel pretty confident in getting AT LEAST 2 of those prizes.

But honestly, even if you won the TT and the year membership, selling those 20 copies at retail ($35?) is about the same value but in cash money.

😂😂😂
This was amazing!!!

Looks like it's the second pressing as they label KG as the mastering engineer and it's pressed at Rainbo.
I bought both this and the John Moreland

Sadly not AAA, but at least they are being upfront about the whole mastering proces. I'm fairly worried that it is being pressed by Rainbo, but to be fair CS always makes it right if there is an issue.

I think that once they've run through the usual scapegoat excuses of GZ/SC/the weather/the holiday/you/your table/your taste/"circumstances", we've found their final one-

fuckin' Norbert.
