Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I know a lot of people have warping issues from VMP. What percentage of records are received damaged from them? I’ve ordered a number of records this month from VMP, Magnolia, Third Man, Amazon, and my local record store. My 6 records from Magnolia were all warped, my Coldplay and Patsy Cline were warped from TMR, my Aretha is warped from VMP, and 4 records were warped from Amazon. Am I just this unlucky, or is this a major problem everyone has?
Come unto me mine child... for I too know the pain of constant and unrelenting warps. This is a safe place, a friendly place where pilgrims such as yourself, seeking refuge from the deluge of badly pressed vinyl are able to come together in support and solidarity so that we might hold each other up, and provide a helping hand in this trying time. THERE WAS A TIME, LONG AGO BEFORE THE WARPS my friends! A time when vinyl records were actually FLAT and ROUND which I know is very difficult to believe because sweet flaming Jesus on a pogo stick we are PRETTY DAMN FAR AWAY FROM THAT NOW, BY GOD'S!

I MEAN WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK DOES A GUY HAVE TO DO TO GET A FLAT PROPERLY PRESSED F*CKING RECORD THESE DAYS? BECAUSE WHATEVER IT IS I'LL DO IT! JUST ASK I'LL DAMN WELL DO I-

i'm sorry I kinda blacked out there for a second... what month is it?

I haven't received too many warps from VMP, but what I have received are records pressed off center. Merry Clayton was one. Look closely at the label.

Well, today is judgement day. A package is arriving from VMP. The only order showing tracking through their PoS new website is a replacement for a damaged Caribou that I originally received 6+ weeks ago. I have two other store purchases from November (Blossom Dearie and Jay Som) marked as PAID UNFULFILLED. I've sent three emails now, have received nothing but canned responses, tried to initiate charge backs but was told that I needed to do so through PayPal and not Capital One because PayPal processed the payment (this was my mistake, but figured I'd give them a bit longer to complete the basic task of sending me the shit I ordered), and still here I am, on December 30, having no idea what to expect in today's package. Maybe everything? Maybe just Caribou? Maybe 47 copies of Run DMC? YOU JUST NEVER KNOW!!!

Is it actually pressed off center, or is the label just mis-applied? It's hard to tell from the photo whether the spindle hole in the stick is against a solid part of the record, or if the spindle hole is truly off centered.

If it's the former, just remove the label and it should play okay (as long as you don't have too much residue in the run-out grooves)

The fact that both labels are clearly in different positions from the shadow would suggest that at least one of them is VERY off centre.

It’s not just a case of the label being misapplied, the spindle hole is off center.

You know what would have been a great NERD pick? The original version of In Search Of.. still not really a RHH pick but a much better one than this one.
This was my first album I ever purchased on CD. Plus being Canadian I got that first version (UK) and I loved it. The original is the best, but at least the new version on vinyl has one OG version song added on!

Could of done a Biggie/OutKast style version of the vinyl for sure.

I'd appreciate advice on a few Swap options. I'm struggling to make a decision since I've never been able to get into Dirty Projectors. The records I'm eying - and I don't feel particularly strongly about any particular one atm - are: Clipse, Open Mike Eagle, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Mavis Staples, Isley Brothers.

I listen to my fair share of rap, and I listen to less soul / R&B, but if one of those last three albums is a "must-have" I'd go for it over one of the first three.

Mavis or Isleys. Isleys is probably the one most likely to sold out before the other (Classics numbers vs Essentiel numbers).
