Nicer jackets and packaging than the 1st one. Sound is great on the first pressing. Downside is that nearly all will probably be tone poets eventually

I weirdly bought a partial BN anthology years ago (Donaldson, Silver, Gordon and the box). Then I have an okay Montara and the Shorter Tone Poet. So it’d really just be for the Akinmusire album, which I actually love. But it’d be a bit extra on my end to pick it up just for that

i'm hoping some of this stuff comes to fruition. hope they at least ship stuff next month...kinda makes sense that they are letting a lot of full time folks go given that they are not doing anthologies or monthly releases anymore...but still sad to see.

I mean the guy who picks your records being let go is a pretty big thing.

it is, but if you are trimming costs, and not doing regular releases, probably don't need to pay someone full time to do that.
