‘84 SP pressing. For some reason I got the urge to clean, play test, and catalog some used Townshend lps I’v had around for awhile. Third one today. White City seems to be unloved on Discogs. A lot of them for sale cheap. Don’t think I ever heard this one b4. Not bad at all.

George Braith ‎– Soul Stream (Blue Note, 1963 First Stereo Pressing)

This was one of the first OG Blue Note's I picked up. Its a fantastic session from Braith. On his debut he focused on his ability to play 2 saxophones at the same time (something which Rahsaan Roland Kirk used to do) but I always found this to be a cheap gimmick which didn't add to the music. When he released this album he dropped the gimmick to focus on the one instrument, and im my opinion it is soooo much better because of it. Throw Grant Green in the mix and it makes for an incredible date.
