Twink - Think Pink (1970, reissue 2019)

Reissue of one of the strangest and most intruiging psychedelic rock albums ever made. Contains both the stereo mix as released, and the previously unreleased mono mix (this). Also includes an insert signed by John "Twink" Alder himself. #719/1000. RSD 2019 release. Members from The Pretty Things, The Deviants and T. Rex appear on the album.

The Neon Skyline - Andy Shauf

This is the first time I've given a careful listen to the full album. Really good. He's a great storyteller and the album is a lot like a collection of interconnected short stories with a failed relationship, melancholy, a best friend, humor, and visits to the local bar running through them. I'm just bummed it didn't come with a download code.

Ashnikko - Hi, It's Me (2019, reissue 2020)

Great EP, but this vinyl press has two issues. One, the highs are pretty harsh. Ear piercingly harsh. It's also very loud, I have to play this on a lower volume letter than any other record in my collection. Also, the jacket is smaller than a normal LP jacket. I literally cannot fit the generic inner sleeve inside it, so I store the record behind the jacket.

Still. Bop after bop on here 🔥

Queen ‎– A Message From The Palace (Baktabak, 1990 Coloured Pressing)

A very obscure oddity that sees Queen (Brian May specifically) being interviewed about a number of things. Its a great insight into the development of the songs for the Highlander movie, Queen's view on the apartheid and subsequent refusal to perform in South Africa, and the general life styles of the group during this era.

Queen ‎– "Stunning" Live In Tokyo (Rodan Records, 1979 Bootleg with paste on cover)

This is an AMAZING Live recording from Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. Recorded on the 1st May 1975 during the Sheer Heart Attack Tour. It also contains an enreleased track titled 'Hangman'. Killer stuff right here, and goes to show that Queen were always hard rockers at their core.
Interestingly this copy has a plain yellow label, something that I haven't ever seen on this release. Not sure if that means it was a test pressing or something. Cool either way.

Queen ‎– Tie Your Mother Down / Falklands II - The Sequel (Not On Label, 1992 Pressing on red splatter vinyl)

Another queen rarity, recorded live at Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the 28th February, 1981. It was recorded professionally for FM Radio, so its a decent sound quality and the group really does give it their all. This is actually a tricky one to come by nowerdays (especially considering its ban from the discogs marketplace). I bought this years ago at a carboot sale for a couple of quid. When I got home I saw that it had an old poster tucked away in the jacket at the back. I had this poster pinned to my board at uni for the next 3 years.....which looking back did almost nothing to my cred.
