What's Spinning

Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Billy Taylor, Attila Zoller ‎– I Giganti Del Jazz Vol. 55 (Curcio, 1981 Pressing)

I picked up a couple of these Curcio box sets a while back and was posting 1 record a week on my instagram. One of the instagrammers(?) messaged to say I should pick this one up, which features Grant Green. The source of the recommendation lays with the first track, where grant lays down a fiery tremolo which sees him furiously plucking a string for a solid 20 seconds before seamlessly slotting back into the song. Its not something I have ever heard him do before, but its a killer moment in the track!

Edit: Just realised the person that recommended this was @Doctor_of_Jazz (not sure if you even remember, it was months ago!), so cheers again buddy, its fantastic!
