John Coltrane - Giant Steps (Atlantic, 1960 First Mono Pressing)

I pulled this one out at random and what a pick!! This is one of my favourite Coltrane records, I love them all but there's just something about this one that tops the rest ever so slightly.

Another solid Idles lp. The deluxe version with the 12x12 soft bound art book is highly recommended. Maybe the nicest booklet ever outside of a “big” box set. Artistic interpretations of the album song titles. Nice.
