Here's a good example of cheap heat. I picked this up in a bundle at a carboot sale a while ago (I worked out that I paid around 30p for it!) and can be found on discogs for around a fiver. Its a really relaxed session that has moments of punchy energy but mainly consists of laid-back solos and back-and-forths. A really nice session!

I love how they use music in Freaks & Geeks. Usually in a period piece they try to use the music of the day to help establish the time and place that the show exists but with Freaks & Geeks, they show these kids being into Cream and Zeppelin and the Grateful Dead to set the tone because that is the music that kids would have been actually been into.
