What's Spinning

What do you think of the Tipitina’s record club?

Overall, very happy so far.

I love the N'awlins centricity of the whole thing. So much great music, a lot of it unheard by the masses. All of the releases have been top quality from a musical standpoint.

There was a little hiccup with The Radiators record - some pops at the very tail end of side A that I couldn't get rid of with replacement copies. With that said, they were super easy and attentive trying to rectify that issue - they sent multiple copies with no questions asked.

So far, they've kept their word with the releases only being available thru them. No bastardization with multiple outlets and variants.

I'd definitely recommend them. I signed up for a year at launch and have no reason not to renew.

The Collection Playthrough Catchup Continued

103-- Norah Jones - Playdate
104 - Parker Millsap - Be Here Instead
105 - Sims - Lights Out Paris
106 - Punch Brothers - Antifogmatic
107 - Snapped Ankles - Forest of Your Problems
108 - Tegan and Sara - Tonight In the Dark We're Seeing Colors

Well this was an adventure. The Norah was a collection add as I build out my (accessible) Norah releases. My favorite of this bunch was the Parker Millsap, which was a cheap free shipping add in but really does slap. It's something very different than I was expecting and brings a little funk to the Americana genre, might be the only one of the three from that shipment I keep. Sims was one of those Ebay reaches and while the Doomtree track is really good on there, I can't see myself streaming it a ton.

Snapped Ankles was lolalbumcircle. T&S was also a collection pickup though I think I'm going to pare down my T&S to earlier releases, and finally Antifogmatic came in with two chips but on non-playable portions? Not my best bunch
