Yesterday would have been Red Mitchell's 94th birthday. This album has always stood out to me and im surprised its not considered more desirable, as its a killer session.

Spinning a couple of recent used Discogs pickups. Although neither one was the actual correct OG listing I bought they do play and sound good. Sadly, the OG Def Leppard still in shrink turned out to be CRC club version BUT it plays like new and sounds stellar so who’s counting.

I grew up with Sister Rosetta but the more I hear here lately the more she becomes one of my very favourites. This is sadly a grey copy but sounds great. And the wonderful Baobab march on with something like their 12th amazing album from an incredibly fecund three-year period in the 70s.

I didn’t even know that was on vinyl! Is it an OG or have they reissued it? I wouldn’t mind a copy, have the first one…

It actually is an OG that was one of the few vinyl records I've bought as a teenager. Unfortunately it has some scratches/skips as I didn't know how to treat vinyl back then. Good pressing though. It goes for about 130 Euros on Discogs. I wouldn't be surprised if this soon sees a reissue, given their comeback now.
