I bought Aimee's CD after hearing the incredible "Psychedelic Morning" make its rounds on WFMU radio; when it arrived I saw that Aimee had included a handwritten thank you note for buying it.
I've learned that Aimee has been dealing with a recent breast cancer diagnosis, as well as the effects of a terrible bike accident that severely damaged her eye. Her friend has organized a KS to help with medical expenses. If you really hate cancer and/or want to really support an artist in a big way, please take a look at her KS

Finally getting around to listening to this Detroit Mix for the first time and it's a pretty big shock honestly as it's clearly very different then the much beloved LA Mix we all know and love. Only a few tracks in but I will say the pressing is straight crack for the ears much like the recent 50th pressing. Pretty sure i'm def. keeping this but it's going to take a few times to really digest and enjoy it beyond just noticing the clear differences. They really should have just included both Mixes of the full album for the 50th instead of the demos imo.
