What's Spinning

Ronnie Ross - Double Event (Parlophone, 1959 First Pressing)

A super tricky album to find. Doesn't help that the cover is essentially laminated paper (wafer-thin). Its a killer record as well, most British jazz fans covet his later album "Cleopatra's Needle" (recorded almost a decade after this) but I would say this is as good.

Jimmy Rushing With Buck Clayton And His Orchestra - The Jazz Odyssey Of James Rushing Esq. (Philips/Columbia, 1957 First UK Pressing)

Here's one from around the same era as the above record, but over the pond in the US. Some fantastically bluesy vocals from Rushing with killer support from Buck Clayton.
