What's Spinning

Following @agutierrezb (and others) collection play through and to allow myself to purge some albums, I'll be starting to listen to my collection also. Don't really know how many albums I have(Discogs says 357 but I know a couple that aren't there) so let's see how much time I take to listen to all.

First up, gappy by Emi Okamoto. [1/357]

This one I heard a couple of songs in my last trip to Japan and liked it, so I bought this newly released album with a very good price(under $20 USD). If you like pop music I think this may be for you!

I don't play the second LP much but the first one is really good.

Haven't forgotten about this! Haven't been able to post much, but I've been playing through my collection.

Elvis Presley- S/T
Waxtime Reissue

This 1956 album started it all, at least for the white folks.

Waxtime? Yuck, right? Not at all. Very Meaty Pizza’s releases (except for Classics) are generally worse- for more money. It’s well pressed and quiet. And it has “Hound Dog” and “Shake Rattle and Roll” that the original pressing didn’t have.

Yes, it’s most likely from a CD. I doubt they’ve let the master tapes out of the vault in the last 40 years. It still sounds good.

Currently under $13 for this or under $10 for the original album, it’s a must have.

Their Greatest Recordings- The Early Years

I guess I’m stuck in the ‘50s tonight. I often sing while trying to calm the puppy. Tonight I found myself singing “Along Came Jones”.

I believe that The Beatles are the most influential band of all time. Don’t get them? That’s ok. Bands you love get them and were influenced by them. These guys influenced The Beatles. Lots of fun catchy stuff here.
