Le Super Tentemba Jazz - La Determination

I love Malian music, especially the Manding style, which is their version of classical music dating back centuries. In the 1970s it became known through bands like Rail Band and Les Ambassadeurs. Super Tentemba are much less well known, but they're just as good and their records are pretty tricky to come across (hence the damaged cover). This and the next one by them are some of my very favourites.

Amazing. Great items.
Im working my way up to the cooler oddities (random live records, interview recordings, special pressings etc). I mentioned a while back but Queen were obviously super popular in the UK and I picked up almost all of their discography at carboot sales alone, for no more than a few quid each. Times have changed now unfortunately and sellers seem to think anything popular they have is worth a fortune.

Miles Davis ‎– Miles In Tokyo Live In Concert (Get On Down, 2019 Black Friday pressing Limited to 2,200 copies)

I was waiting for a special occasion to play this one as its a superb live session. Been cooped up inside for a while now so this is as good of a time as any!

True but signed by all members of Queen is undoubtedly a lovely thing. I have quite a few signed records, by the likes of Bowie, Bee Gees, Brian Wilson, Lou Reed, John Cale, Sparks, Talking Heads... I don’t think they’ll allow me to retire off the back of them but they’re undoubtedly nice to have and give a good memory of getting them.
