What's The Most Valuable Record In Your Collection?

Errrr..... right!
Definitely not...

I am so shocked that the Vulfpeck album is selling for so much. I think the first copy selling for $200 or something really set the market for that. But they sold a ton of copies of it.
yeah...totally surprised..i'm contemplating whether or not to sell mine :) :)

I just filtered my collection by maximum and NIN The Fragile: Deviations 1 has the highest value at £360 o_O

I really hope that is a mistake.

This is sort of the problem with discogs...someone sold that set fully signed by every member in the band for $450 which is why it's often better to sort by median instead of highest.

The vinyl value bubble has hit an entirely new level of ridiculousness...

Collection Value:* Min $50,395.94 Med $84,998.53 Max $155,059.70

Anyone who'd like to give me my max, I'll have them boxed up for you.

Max would be one at a time to different buyers, right?

I’m thinking a whole collection would be under minimum. Someone taking that many wants a deep discount.

I would never sell my collection for less than mid. But you're right, you would probably get maximum value record by record. It's just a matter if that effort, selling and shipping all over the world, is worth the difference.

If I was going to buy someone's entire collection at once, I would most likely not pay mid value average.
Unless it was all cherry stuff I wanted and not a lot of filler I didn't want - then maybe.

These numbers are all hypothetical, anyway - my pretend riches.

Yeah, I don't think anybody would.

I think it would be about as rare as winning the lottery to find a buyer who would pay full median for a large collection. I think one by one is the only way to be sure you hit around median. Never going to get max on most of them unless they are sealed and signed. Lots of those max prices are crazy.

Ok, Enoch ;)
I don't understand the reference, but I do remember the forum member.

I understand the demand vs value of a collection. I'm just not in the market to sell my collection, so for me to even consider it I'd have to get a bid of at least median value. Kinda like how people put those "make me move" prices on their houses.
