This event proves every year that I have very different tastes than the group, and that's OK.

The last 5 years of this process I was able to say four of my albums made the top 20, never closer. And to be clear, that's 4 total in 5 years, not 4 each year.

Probably should have given the Common Pete Rock another listen. The second pass through is much more pleasant than the first. I still think it’s a nostalgia bomb but it’s better than I remember.

I love it. It’s my favourite rap album of the year by a long shot. There is a nostalgia factor I guess due to the longevity that both artists have had, but I don’t think this is a retread of anything that either of them have done before. It’s Common and Pete Rock, both at the top of their game……and it’s FRESH!
