Zach Steffen is soooooo shit
He shouldn’t be anywhere near the USMNT #1 that’s for sure. Even though I’m an apathetic supporter of the US team.Hopefully Gavin Bazunu gets a chance at the No. 2 soon then. He looks really good internationally and he could do with a step up from the League 1 loans. That said maybe playing regularly in the championship next year would be better for his development.

Matt Turner, soon to be Arsenal, has been decent in the summer comps the USMNT has played. Won golden glove at the CONCACAF Gold Cup. I think he deserves it. A far better shot stopper than Steffen.Looking at your goalkeepers in the last squad it isn’t a deep pool. Forest’s reserve and an uncapped player from the MLS looked to be the other two!

I wake up. I see Spurs lost. I am filled with hope. I watch Arsenal play. The hope is lost
Aged like milkI could be worse. You could have that hope. And then go 2-0 up against the worst team in the league adding more hope. And then blow it all. This team is so shit.

the NLD is going to be great
United arsenal next Saturday lunchtime is going to be funny. Who wants to throw the game away the most…
Also fucking city, I was hoping for extra time and penos with us playing Liverpool on Tuesday because that has the potential to be embarrassing!
Going to Anfield is going to be scary. We're going to get embarrassed there. Im really dreading it.
The worst part about it though, even up until last season when United used to go through a drubbing they would usually come out and play well the following game. These days its going to be a hammering at Anfield and then a piss poor performance against Arsenal after that as well.
I woke up to watch the match at 7:30am just to watch Spurs shit the bed. Funny that the announcers were blaming the slightly warmish weather for their sluggish play - is this really a thing? Legitimately curious.I wake up. I see Spurs lost. I am filled with hope. I watch Arsenal play. The hope is lost

Yeah, it was fairly early in the match so not sure they were really excusing them but I just thought it funny that they mentioned that. I could understand if it was like 100 degrees but 65? Lol.I’m guessing the commentators were pro spurs and clutching at imaginary straws. Football is a winter sport in Europe for a reason and the type of high intensity game played in northern Europe isn’t easy to do in the summertime, which is why European teams often wilt in the hotter world cups, but to blame that for an anaemic performance on a pleasantly mild spring day is comical beyond belief.

Thanks, this explains a lot. Kind of like when a west coast NFL team has to travel to the east coast for an early (1pm) kickoff.Once you get over about 20 C, not sure what that is in F but it’s not as high as 100 though, the type of football that involves high pressure tends to become less effective and possession games favoured in warmer climates become better. It was at most 15 this morning though lol.
Honestly it’s much more likely that the early kick off was to blame. I get that it’s there for the Far East market on tv but fans and players hate it, it’s just not when you should be playing football. The players in particular abhor having to have huge plates of chicken and pasta at 8 or 9 am to take on the necessary protein and carbs for a match. Fans hate it because you’ve to be at the ground a midday, that’s shit at home because it takes away the experience of meeting your mates for pints first and the whole fun, away it’s a nightmare, especially if you’re playing the other side of the country.
