Ok - I’ve got no dog in this fight. Just sharing info that has been published elsewhere.
No, you’re using marketing blurb on a cartridge as evidence of something it’s not claiming.

It's horribly written or explained but I gotta think this is the case. Making a table you can only use mc carts on seems really odd...The way I read the blurb is that it will work in any system, if you want true balanced then you need an MC or that particular cart and balanced outputs.
Well at the price point. If it were like ten times the price, we’d all be like that tracks. It's horribly written or explained but I gotta think this is the case. Making a table you can only use mc carts on seems really odd...

Not possible in what way?I think it’s probably because they’re explaining how to get true balanced on their tables rather than this is all they do. Especially as they don’t even bundle the XLR cable to actually do it with any of the tables.
Also the more I think of it and what tonearm tables actually are I don’t think it’d be even possible.

Yeah thanks man I totally agree. That table is actually one of the ones he was considering, I've gotta circle back with him on that one. After checking up on the MSRP for the Planar 3 RS--CAD $2275--I think your friend could do better for the money, @Mather. Like THIS Acoustic Solid table. It's still the RB330 tonearm, but the rest of the table is of superior quality to the Planar 3, and would give your friend a very solid platform to later upgrade his tonearm (Acoustic Solid, Acoustic Signature, Origina Live, Sorane, Audiomods, etc.) rather than spending it on rebuidling the Planar 3 with better aftermarket bearings, subplatters, delrin platters, etc. Jody at Brooklyn Audio is also a pleasure to deal with, though some of those Acoustic Solid tables are probably kicking around Ontario, too, at a discount.
It doesn't come with a cart like the Planar 3, however. Does he need a new one as part of the upgrade?
Agree - the Acoustic Solid is a much better long-term bet. A Sorane TA-1 tonearm could be a lovely upgrade later. After checking up on the MSRP for the Planar 3 RS--CAD $2275--I think your friend could do better for the money, @Mather. -looks around-Sometimes it's delightful to fully enjoy what I have versus chasing what I don't.

I don't know what you're talking aboot.
i will preface this with "i know nothing about cables or balanced" but how does one go from RCA to TRS? or can you go RCA to XLR?The new Topping B200 power amp has some astounding qualities regarding noise and distortion. Also, I think "B150" would have been a better moniker as 200W seems to be a bit of a reach. Nonethless, for someone looking for exceptionally clean power (even cleaner than the AHB2) at a lower price, this may be the ticket.
