My wife and daughter are sick, so far I'm fine, knock on wood, so my wife just said I should "get out of the house, go to a record store or something, you don't need to be cooped up in here with us"... This feels like the meds talking or a trap....
Excited to see De La Soul put 3ft High and Rising up for pre-order with their other records showing coming soon...AND they are FINALLY coming to streaming in March!!! Let's hope more rappers start regaining some control over their music...and of course feeding my vinyl addiction...
Second day at home with my daughter and I've been letting her pick out records, she likes the process but the music, not so much! Barely gets through a song before she wants to get another record!! She's worse than me! I'm so proud!
I have no idea why I continued to ignore late period Sonic Youth for so long, it's really good and I feel like an idiot for dismissing it years ago and never going back until now!!
My daughter's current favorite word is "okay" she says it all the time and every time she does I repeat it back to her like I'm Lil Jon...just one of many references I'll make that she'll never understand!!
Mclusky Do Dallas has FINALLY arrived!!! Can't wait to give it a proper spin tomorrow when I have the house to myself!!! Took a little longer than expected, they said May originally I think, but hopefully it'll be well worth the wait!!! No extra charge from FedEx, so far, but they could have knocked instead of just leaving it by the door!!!..might try to give it a sneak peek tonight, I'm a tad excited!!

Rainy day today, rushing my little one out to the car, she hates the rain, get her in quickly and fire up my usual driving playlist and it starts with Massive Attack "Prey for Rain"... Look phone, if you're going to listen to me read the room!!! I swear if they followed that up with Garbage I was going to throw my phone out the window!!
Question, I just received an email from Bandcamp asking for my phone number to complete my shipment saying it's required now for international shipments... It's an album I ordered and the email looks legit but I'm always paranoid about such things, international people is this real or on some bullshit?

An unexpected record on a Sunday really makes the weekend a little bit brighter...
Second day in a row I've let my daughter be in charge of the music selection, any record she wants I'll throw it on and see what happens...and once again she's only interested in my old cassettes!! I think she likes them because she can actually take them out of their cases and put them in the tape deck... looks like another afternoon of 90's hip hop...it's like highschool all over again...well not exactly...
I've never been more of a casual Blur fan, I know a song or song 2 but never really dug into their discography until this weekend and boy oh boy they are fantastic!!! The good news, I discovered some fantastic music, the bad, I'm now on the hunt for a whole lot of Blur records!!!

Didn't expect to start my day with a new LCD Soundsystem song but here we are!!! I really like it which isn't a surprise, I celebrate their entire catalogue!
Sick baby this weekend so no record show for me! I did get to tell my wife I saved hundreds maybe thousands of dollars and I told myself they probably didn't have anything I actually wanted....I'm living in the land of make-believe at this point!!!
When I woke up today I never would have guessed I'd buy a cassette but here we are!!! Before you ask it was a live Broken Social Scene show from 2003 they have up on Bandcamp...no regrets.... probably some....
There's a record show in my city this weekend and I'm about to spend the week talking myself into and out of going.... -
