Taking some time this afternoon to rip the audio from some of my favorite performances from last night's John Prine tribute.
Barracuda Club in Austin announced they are closing permanently. Saw some really great shows there in recent years, including Lucy Dacus/Illuminati Hotties delivering the goods on the outdoor stage under some absolutely terrible weather conditions.

In addition to our resident Hatbird, today is also the birth date of the late, great Curtis Mayfield. His music, both solo material and his work with The Impressions, has been in constant rotation for me over the past week or so.
Been listening to this track from 1968 a lot this week in the year 2020. Which speaks volumes.

It's definitely going to take some time for my ears to adjust to this slightly slower version of 'I'll Be You'. This corrected version sounds great, but I'm just so used to the version from "Don't Tell A Soul".
It's real simple AXS TV. If you're gonna keep airing "The Last Waltz", I'm going to keep watching "The Last Waltz". I'm game if you are.
