Tonight's episode 5 of Ken Burns' Country Music series was probably my favorite so far. It is really nice seeing Jack White in this setting clearly showing how much he truly respects Loretta Lynn with his stories from their collaboration. Good Dolly, Cash, Buck and Merle bits too.
The shirt I got at the Stereolab show last night has some weird grease like drop stains on the back that I didn't see until this morning. Can't get them out. Urgghhh!
Merch line for Stereolab moving super slow, and has wrapped around itself. This poor girl is gonna be selling stuff all night, through the sets of both acts.
Fake audience cheers/noise on some of the live albums from the 70's and early 80's is always a really obvious and unpleasant sound to my ears.

Things I really like about the Ken Burns Country Music documentary series: Rhiannon Giddens and Dolly Parton interview bits. Things I don't like about the Ken Burns Country Music documentary series: Seeing interview segments with artists who didn't live long enough to see this series air.

Man, Daniel Johnston's 'Some Things Last A Long Time' is so simple, and yet so effective. That's the one I keep going back to this week.
Even though I am seeing one of their reunion shows this Saturday, I had kind of forgotten that I had ordered the vinyl version of the debut album from What Made Milwaukee Famous. Arrived today. Nice package overall. Shipping was crazy on that order tho.

I love ordering stuff/buying direct from local artists. You really get a sense at how much they appreciate the support, even if it is just buying a shirt or something.
Supergrass are reuniting! They probably won't play any shows in the states, but they are playing dates in 2020, and I'm just glad they're back.
