Pretty sure I won't be seeing Black Pumas in as intimate a venue next time they roll through town.

Black Pumas tonight! It’s The first of their 3 sold out nights at The Mohawk. Gonna be a hot one though.

Haven't felt great for about a week. Stupid allergy/chest cold nonsense. But I'll be damned if I'm going to miss the Elliott Smith birthday tribute show tomorrow night.
Bought that new Spoon Best-Of primarily for the rad cover photo. I can't quibble with the 12 classics and 1 new track included, and I get what they were going for here, based on interviews with Britt. That said, my favorites playlist is sitting at 44 tracks. 13 still feels pretty slight.
Finally found a great used copy of "Rain Dogs" in the wild. Only good thing to happen this week.
Zero Days of Peace and Music. Woodstock 50 is officially, finally, cancelled. I'd say this is peak 2019, but, we all know that would be a lie. Still 5 more months to go.

Another new Sleater-Kinney song. I actually kind of like this one. Reminds me of the modern take on 60's girl group tunes that Sweet Spirit does.

Dammit! Julien Baker isn't going to be able to perform tomorrow night, so the entire show with Lucy Dacus at The Paramount has been cancelled. They are still doing Lucy's Austin City Limits taping this evening at 8:00 CDT though.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the release of Miles Davis' 'In A Silent Way', which is my favorite Miles album. Still sounds so fresh to my ears.
After considerable thought and reflection, I have decided that I will not be performing at Woodstock 50.
Woodstock 50 is like the Jason Voorhees of concert promotions.
I know he is a polarizing figure, but, if nothing else, Quentin Tarantino gives good soundtrack.

I'll try and post the link closer to next Tuesday, but, I believe that Austin City Limits will be streaming the tapings for their Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker episodes.
