Man, the trailer for that Rolling Thunder Revue doc on Netflix is so good. I was excited for it before, but now I don't know if I can wait another 10 days or so. 70's Dylan is my favorite Dylan, and that tour has always had this air of mystery about it for me.
Austin has officially reached the "constant state of sweat" season.
Man, Lee Fields has energy for days. Helluva performer, with a white hot, locked in band behind him. And there aren't many men that can legitimately get away with rocking white dress pants and white shoes.
I know the real life stuff behind the song is serious business, but, “Why do you sing with an English accent, I guess it’s too late to change it now” always cracks me up.
So glad that Roky Erickson got to have that life/career comeback a few years back. He was one of a kind, and he had electricity running through his vocal cords. RIP

Looks like Lucy Dacus is also going to be an Austin City Limits show taping when she comes to town in July for her show with Julien Baker. Wonder if they are both going to be doing tapings?
Good to know that North Austin now has a BBQ place where you can stand and wait in line forever a la Franklin’s. Food was solid tho.

Won free passes to NOMADX, which is taking place in Austin this Saturday & Sunday. Wasn't planning on going, but, I'm always up for seeing Moving Panoramas and Octopus Project.
Anyone else following along with Stereogum's "The Number Ones" blog series? It is hilarious to see how poorly all of these hit singles from the 70's have aged.
For what its worth, the "Barry" season finale was quite good.
