New Blushing album “Possessions” is out today. Finally. Feels like I’ve been waiting on this one to be released forever.
Austin City Limits is airing an hour long Best of Nanci Griffith episode this week. It premieres this evening, and will likely have some re-airings next week. Check your local PBS listings for airtimes.

Just now getting around to listening to the new Brandi Carlile record. Not sure what the critical or fan consensus is, but I think this is now my favorite album of hers.
“House of Gucci” was pretty meh, but it does have some strong individual performances. Gaga is really good, but Jared Leto ended up being the real scene stealer.
Really enjoyed watching The Go-Go’s get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It clearly meant a lot to them, and honestly it should have happened a long time ago.

Quite a bit of 90s music nostalgia hitting after watching that Alanis Morissette doc on HBO.
A lot of dudes online with some VERY strong opinions about that Taylor Swift performance on last night’s SNL. I’m not even really a fan, but I was impressed.

Watched the excellent Guy and Susanna Clark doc, “Without Getting Killed Or Caught” tonight online. Essential viewing for fans of singer-songwriters.
That Pavement show in October 2022 better be fan-effing-tastic given what I just paid for that ticket.
It’s been a very Gil Scott-Heron heavy listening week for me. Not sure why, but I’m certainly not complaining.
