The Lintons are quite beautiful, let the listening begin, you guys weren’t kidding about the upscale audio packaging, took me an hour to get everything out and the boxes broken down and packing materials bagged.
This is one of the stretches where it seems like “everything is going wrong” even though it’s nothing of life altering consequence. Fedex shows up I go out to greet the driver, he looks through the packed track not anywhere close to thoroughly and says it’s not on his truck. I took the day off of work to stay home to sign for them now I have to find a way to pick them up myself from fedex.
Not only Will Magnepan not pay to ship back to the factory their speakers that never worked, there’s no guarantee once they get them they don’t just decide that I should have to pay to fix them anyway based on “what’s wrong with them”, if all audio companies are like this I’m scared to spend money with anyone other than Amazon.
Does anyone here have a contact email for Magnepan that isn’t the service department, I’m hoping to connect with someone there that understands what customer service is.
Fuck Magnepan. They want me to pay to ship back speakers that never worked, on top of that intimated that I am not being honest because the carton would have had “obvious” damage. They may make good stuff but they don’t deserve to succeed with such customer service. Magnepan failed.
Confirmed that my Magnepan LRS have been faulty upon delivery two years ago, waiting to hear back from them because apparently in the Audio world companies don’t pay to ship things covered under warranty, that is absurd.
Is Barry McGuire “Eve Of Destruction” an unusually recorded album. I acquired a modern reissue, the vocals sound like the were recorded in a box, it just doesn’t sound right. I have no others to compare to.
Never spend much time in Seattle so my fiancée the dog and I went to four different record stores, found a few records. Jive Time and Sonic Boom I purchased at, silver platters and zions gate I did not. I was not surprised by the lack of used selection but more so that none of them had anything exciting that would be on the “wall”
The Grateful Dead -American Beauty sounds bad on my magnepans, there are many albums where the “quality of the recording” are made apparent but these speakers but also with my elacs. The American Beauty is the first one to surprise me.
I have officially lived in my apartment for one year, and with my fiancée since June. It actually feels like a home now. What a difference a year makes.
