Unfortunately it appears my Analogue Productions A Charlie Brown Christmas won’t be arriving before Christmas, but glad to be able to acquire a copy none the less.
Starting to dial in the sound in my apartment, the Magnepan’s were a no go, my listening area has vaulted ceilings and one speaker has wall/corner while the other has a 2/3 wall and walkway.
My last day in this hell hole, moving day tomorrow, almost done packing my records which is the last of the “bulk” of everything. Can’t wait for Tuesday when I’m theoretically moved in and finally won’t be tortured by excessive noise everyday.
I would just like to say thanks to everyone here, in many ways you help me with life as much or more than hi-fi. You are more of a family to me than my actual in the ways that matter most. Have a merry thanksgiving.
No matter when all else is failing I always can rely on finding records, minty copy of Townes Van Zandt “At My Window” at HPB $40, and the complete BattleStar Galactica (new series) blu ray $50.
Acquired my first pieces of vintage gear today, a Marantz 2238b receiver, a Kenwood KA-8100 Integrated Amp, and Kenwood Tuner for $600. The first two were recapped.
As much as people dog on HPB in regards to records, my local location is far more likely to underprice a record than overprice it just scored over a dozen original Motown pressings that are all in immaculate shape.
