Y'all... I think last night was the best night of my life. Drove 3 hours into the desert to see a private outdoor Big Thief show under the full moon. Bonfires, string lights, warm beer, and beautiful musicians. The night ended sitting around a bonfire with Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek and the rest of the band. I feel I peaked and its all down hill from here.

Noticed something very interesting. On high volumes I can hear the music before it starts “playing” as the needle gets closer to it. So in quiet passages I’ll hear in instances an incredibly quiet string of keys on a bill evans song half a second before it actually starts “playing” that exact string. It’s hard to explain, but is this normal? It’s like a reverse echo!
I started a concert fund 2 years ago and money automatically gets saved there with an app I use and over COVID it got rather healthy, so I am absolutely splurging on concerts coming up. From September - November I will be seeing Isaiah Rashad, Durand Jones, Yo-Yo Ma, James Blake, Herbie Hancock, Men I Trust, Ty Segal, Outside Lands Fest, Desert Daze fest, and potentially Wolf Alice + Dry Cleaning
