Me and my fiancé are doing an A-Z record collection walk through in place of TV on week nights. Been an incredible bonding experience honestly, she’s heard all the records in my collection but has never listened. Seeing her find new favorites like Alabaster Deplume’s latest album makes my day

Anyone here tuned into the world of Classical vinyl? I would love to start dipping my toes in and reveling in the audiophile goodness. I really enjoy classical music, particularly Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Vivaldi, the usual suspects! Just an intimidating world to toe into because of the breadth of performers for each classic composer!
Its a real shame the master tapes of Bill Evan's "Everybody Digs Bill Evans" is plagued by such heavy distortion in places. Such a beautiful album that will never be heard in its deserved clarity.
Anyone else get a bunch of inner groove distortion on the AS Sarah Vaughan release? Is that a pressing problem or turntable problem?
Spin clean question:
Just got my first spin clean which marks my first/best vinyl cleaning solution outside of a spray, velvet brush and carbon fiber brush. After my first cleaning I noticed that my needle dug out a TRUCK load of muck from the grooves of a album after a few hours of drying. Does this mean I simply need to keep cleaning it until the needle doesn’t gather any more?
