Baseball

Well, The Tigers fired GM Al Avila, maybe a year or too late but at least they made the move. His seven year plan has the kitties in worse shape than when he started. They are a mess and it's going to take another rebuild to get this thing moving in the right direction.

Oof, Tatis is sliding into knucklehead territory I see. The multi Motorcycle accidents was boneheaded but an 80 game suspension for Steroids… What The Fuck!

I know this will hurt @Sonicpharmacist the most being a Padres fan but please keep in mind he my keeper player in my fantasy baseball league where he’s been taking up a IL spot the entire year.
Yeah this blows big time. Thank god the Pads got Soto, Bell and Drury. Tatis has a LOT to learn.

It's like listening to a sentient Instagram account attempt to call a ball game. The very first play of the game Cabrera makes an incredible catch in right to take away a HR and they call him "Judge". Cabrera is a 5'10" rookie. Judge is 6'7" and the best player in baseball. They all should have just got up and left the booth at that point.

I listened to a game a couple of weeks back and had to turn on some music and turn the volume on the game off. Painful.

The Apple TV MLB broadcast crew are unlistenable. Good lord they're awful.
I hate it when I have to watch my team on another broadcast, but the Apple TV team is just terrible.

Now that I say that, please enjoy this video of drunk Rick Sutcliffe showing up in the Padres booth, game being called by Matt Vasgersian and Mark Grant. At the time, Matt was in talks with going to a major network, and Sutcliffe knew. I watched this live and about died.

This was the first Apple TV game I’ve watched this year. I actually like Katie Nolan on her own stuff. It was weird they just had that one dude talking about everything else in the league non stop for like 3 straight innings though. I turned it off shortly after that, but not due to the announcers. The Yanks have been putrid for weeks.

I knew they overperformed in the first half and expected a slump at some point, but not this bad. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the Jays catch them since they seem to have broken out of their mini slump while the Yanks just look lost.
