Baseball

The Phillies winning is great and all, but the way the Mets choked away their season is the real reason for the pep in my step today.

300 mil payroll, 100+ wins, division lead for 175 out of 180 days, 10.5 game lead. None of it mattered. LOLMETS

it's been almost 40 years since 1986, how depressing. though I'm admittedly not nearly as invested as I used to be. all the changes, same old Mets

Bottom of the 9th 2 outs, two men on base with Yordon Alvarez up to bat representing the winning run and Scott Servais plays himself by pulling his shut down closer in favor of a starter that has never closed out a game.

WHAT A DUMB DECISION!
Agreed. Listening to the MLB network honks saying they agree with the move. Idiots. Robbie Ray has been garbage for months. Just stop with the left on left stats and manage the feel of the game!

It was an abject disaster call, leading to a brutal loss. Ray knew he couldn't walk Air Yordan, and went right after him. Bad idea.
