Pretty much what I'm thinking. Pretty polarizing reviews. It's a very down-the-middle, okay album. Not amazing, but not rubbish either.. 🤷‍♂️ oh well, #MusicIsSubjective ✌

Still on vacation and haven't listened to anything this week, but this Yard Act album, from looking at the genre and @musicjunkiegreg's written review in the respective IG post, provides the impression that I should be expecting a far inferior Squid.

Still at the top of my listening list for now.

Doing my yearly listen through Tom Waits' entire discography. Just realized how long it's been since Bad As Me came out-- 11 years this October!! I'd love to see another album this year.

Tom's a notoriously private man, so it's hard to gauge his interest level in getting another album out there. Seems like he's been focused on acting lately if anything. Fingers crossed he's got another addition to his nearly flawless catalog in him!
 
I am pretty much just now getting to a lot of last year's new releases, so I didn't make my usual year-end list (though I may still decide to do a belated one). I'm determined to do a better job of things this year, especially since there's so much good stuff out there already.

Basically just wanted to post so I get notifications, so continue as you were. And y'all got my hopes up for new Janelle Monae so if that doesn't happen I'm suing all of you.
