Black Friday RSD 2019

@scotthilk was nice enough to help me on his trips today and couldn’t find a copy of the National set. I also saw how hard it was going for others. So, I panicked and drove to my nearest shop and, for some fortunate reason they held the National tapes behind the counter and another shopper was nice enough to let me know, so I was able to get there late, quietly walk past the mob attacking the racks and get in line and get the set.

I wanted to leave a post and ask if anyone had requests but there were literally 100 people crowded around 5-6 boxes. This was my first time going to RSD within an hour of a shop opening and I hated the experience as much as I imagined I would. Extra thanks to Scott and anyone who has walked into that frenzy for another person. I hope the National never release another RSD again and that your shops implement a waitlist form system or some system that isn’t 60 dudes with goatees attacking the racks while less aggressive dudes, women, and teenagers wait around the edges and hope there’s something left.

Got second in line. Wife and I divided and conquered. Got Stillmatic and Edan - only I was really after. Although my infatuation w guitar virtuoso shredders waned a whole back, I also grabbed a copy of Satriani for old times sake (i was surprised how many copies of this there were where I went)
