Another Record City order has arrived, and I continue to be impressed both by how clean these records are and how great they sound. The Coltrane is a 1977 King Record Co. stereo release that I look forward to comparing to the new stereo reissue that should arrive soon. The King sounds fantastic. Abbey Road is a 1976 reissue with a misprint on the jacket (song titles out of order), and has beautiful separation and clarity. I haven't listened to the Bowie yet, but both other jazz records also sound quite good. Damn, what a reinforcing habit!
EDIT: The Bowie sounds great also. The music seems like it's destined to have its high end fall apart on playback, but that never happens, and Bowie's voice is crystal clear throughout. Impressive.
