20,000 to 30,000 pressing runs for each of these titles seems pretty high too, which should temper flippers a bit I'd think.

Seems only Everything Must Go and Two Against Nature will be AP 45s. The others will get regular 33 reissues that are from UMe and not AP.

Seriously hope these sit on their shelves.

Well that and the fact that these titles are strictly limited to THREE copies per household. This will surely keep flippers at bay.

I mean....it creates a quandry for the people who actually want a good audiophile copy of the albums. I hate that Chad is doing this. I hope they don't come anywhere close to selling out. They are pressing 20-30k copies of each one (between 3 mil and 4.5 mil in sales for EACH ALBUM). Chad acts like he's doing some great service for everybody by finally releasing audiophile versions of these albums but all he's doing is screwing over fans and laughing all the way to the bank.

Yea--I'll get the UME ones of some of the titles I like I think. Can't drop $175 on a single record. It's madness.

Aja is probably the only one I’ll consider, but the AB OG is ridiculously good and I have a very clean copy. And I’m a huge DanFan.

I just can’t do the prices anymore. It’s madness indeed.

Yep. I saw 30k on Aja, and 20k on a couple others, but didn't click on every one

I’ll wait until the 33s come out. I have a Japanese Aja that’s fantastic, the only UHQR I might consider is Countdown to Ecstasy.

Oh, absolutely, I agree with this. But the reality for me is that the price-point is absurd enough that I'm not even tempted, so while it sucks, I'm hardly torn over it.

seems to me that UMe is doing all of them as 33s. Don't think Universal would let them also do AP33s and cannibalize their own sales.

Oh, absolutely, I agree with this. But the reality for me is that the price-point is absurd enough that I'm not even tempted, so while it sucks, I'm hardly torn over it.

Anyone who buys all seven should get a private session with Fagen, but I doubt Chad would even give free shipping.

At this time it looks like the 33’s are coming from UMe. At some point maybe they’ll offer some additional AP pressing but it likely wouldn’t be until after the UHQR and UMe reissues have run their course.
