Yea--no hate on copy dubs. I think Speakers Corner largely does great work and many of those, especially Sony titles, are from copy tapes. No hate on digital sources either. Plenty of great reissues from both sources. When done right, they can sound awesome.

I does feel like it's getting a bit Hoffy in here.

But I digress, let us not forget the most important factor in all of this... Steely Dan is absolutely terrible and all of these UHQRs should be loaded onto a rocket and fired directly into the sun.

Question: Is Steely Dan a downscale Jimmy Buffet or an upscale Doobie Brothers? Back in the day, we couldn't agree on which.

I’m not sure what your point is. We are the consumers complaining about Chad’s price gouging. I think it’s fairly obvious those of us complaining the most will not be buying. If you choose buy, more power to you, I hope you enjoy them.
