Definitive Audiophile pressings

None of the stores over here seem to have these Rhino ones at all listed for sale or pre. Strange because while we don’t always get the same mastering we usually get the same series. I’d have been tempted by the velvets and Otis too.

Broke down and bought the Billy Holiday one from old slow vape. The silly flat rate shipping made it more expensive than it should have been but it’s still cheaper and less hassle than from the US.
Does he have a contact info? I wanna ask him if he plans on getting any MoFi pressings.

I think he addressed that at some point as a no. Because he’s one of those people plus he’s so far up Chad’s arse you can only see his feet..

Edit: There is a contact page on his site Michael 45 – quality vinyl / Buy UHQR Records in Europe.
I figured he wouldn't. It was more of a joke since i saw that the Thrill One-Step video is titled "Goodbye to MoFi". He seems to be all in on being a AS spokesman and OG pressing "expert" which is something he has always been and totally not something he started on right after MoFi broke his brain.

Anyone have good/bad things to say about specific pressings of Elvin Jones/Richard Davis “Heavy Sounds?” I missed out on a seemingly pristine 1st press on eBay, and it’s apparent I need to focus on cheaper options if I want good condition.

I’d buy a Japanese press, but they’re mfd by Victor, and I’m worried about an album with punch losing that edge.
Edit: I missed the positive reviews on Discogs for 1979 JP press but just saw them.

Apropos of nothing, the cover is f-ing amazing!
