The moral of the story was “buy more records”….I think…..Gotta have bad experiences to learn from them!

I have the same.I have a “price paid” column in discogs and when I set that up, looking through my old eBay confirmation emails was super depressing. Wish I had known then what I know now.
I am a big fan of this album and a big fan of this 1980 press:Ya know, I need a good pressing of Talking Heads - Remain in Light.
What are we feeling?
I have the same.
What's just as depressing is seeing the change in price for records that have not sold since I logged the average but have dropped due to the strength of the £.
Same. The OG Remain In Light just jumps out of the speakers.I am a big fan of this album and a big fan of this 1980 press:

I do have the recent Kevin Gray cut, which sounds awesome too, which will probably be cheaper. But I always reach for the original Talking Heads stuff.
Same pressing I have. According to my notes, 9 years ago it only cost me $3 at the local shop. Times have certainly changed!I am a big fan of this album and a big fan of this 1980 press:

My copy was like ten about six years ago.Same pressing I have. According to my notes, 9 years ago it only cost me $3 at the local shop. Times have certainly changed!
People have caught on I guess! I find them every once in a while for $10/15 or so at flea markets and such. But in good condition, they can fetch $35/40 these days.Same pressing I have. According to my notes, 9 years ago it only cost me $3 at the local shop. Times have certainly changed!
Always down to pick up a few records for ya and ship them to you next time I’m in the UK.What hurts more for me is that it’s completely killed the value of US records. The likes of the audiophile ones, in particular, could be got at a more reasonable price than local by eating higher shipping. Now they’re just mental expensive!
Similar for US clubs. With the depressed euro and the addition of VAT the prices are eye watering.

Oh yeah, it’ll be my faultAnd this is why it will eventually go away.
For probably that specific reason, it's actually not too bad for me to order from the UK these days and often better than from the US.
Is that $350 written on that Herbie Hancock? Which reissue is worth anywhere near that price? Hell, a clean OG copy can be found for less than that.
LMAO
Wow! What alternate universe are they working in?LMAO

I’m not gonna defend that price, but at least it’s the red vinyl version, limited to 500 copies, which has a high of $430 on Discogs and current low “for sale” of $679LMAO
