Definitive Audiophile pressings

I think everyone is happy for the series but WTF is going on in the marketing department.

Limited edition of an album still sitting on the shelves is bat shit crazy.

Crossings is a great album, happy with my SC pressing. Would have liked to have seen Mwandishi, but glad I can save the money and that others may get exposed to Crossings.
Agreed on Crossings and the other comments on the SC pressing. It’s great.

Re Mwandishi, I have the MOV, and it’s in the very good range. Flat/silent pressing and almost certainly digital source that’s pretty good. I’d replace it with an affordable KG/AAA reissue, but unless/until that happens, the MOV serves its purpose well.

Edit - it also appears to be available for $29.99 in the US with free shipping from Movie Mars. Mwandishi

I've been enjoying the reissue. The pressing is really well done. No surface noise, flat records.

And isn't it supposed to sound digital? It's a New Order compilation from 1987.
Right, I’ve actually never owned an original CD but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just as good as the original vinyl pressing. If you really want good sound, just get the UK 12” singles! Can’t believe what original vinyl copies are going for. .

Any opinions on the New Order Substance reissue vs OGs? I'm seeing a lot of "this sounds pretty crunchy and digital" comments online.

I have an original Canadian of that one, and the comments are going to keep me from upgrading. I would have considered it, because, the original is not the best - could use a bit more oomph on the bottom end and a bit more width. But it's overall "nice". Not cheap to come by though.

New Order has cocked up so many of their vinyl reissues I am gun shy in Substance

You almost need a chart, lol. But my upshot out of the ones I've a/b'ed is: Brotherhood and Low-Life, get the reissues*. PC&L, Technique original canadian pressings are great. And Movement get the original American pressing on Quiex vinyl.

Reissue has a bit more bass "oomph" per some reviews on Discogs. I've never heard an OG copy so cannot comment, but the reissue definitely didnt sound thin to me.
