Definitive Audiophile pressings

Done and done. Thanks!

By the way, realized that I bought two LPs from them in person 14 or so years ago when I went to Atlanta as one of my first “adult” vacations.
I don't love them even though they're kind of one of my locals because they overprice most things but it's nice they they're right around the corner from another better record shop in five points so I can bin flip two stores when I head down. The only local shop in the Atlanta metro area I really love is Comeback Vinyl. Although I really like the owner of my sad little CD Warehouse too.

So does the Substance 1987 reissue include the same edited versions as the original? Several of the tracks were shortened for Substance, I guess so they would fit. Were the full 12" mixes restored or are they still the same edits? Just curious.
It looks like you only get the full edits on the CD reissues. Even on the original cds they were the shorter edits. You only got the full versions on the cassettes

Like I said, 5 people :ROFLMAO:

6.

I'm only partially kidding. The Rhino Hi-Fidelities have been so good, they'll pretty much always warrant a look from me. At least wait to see what others are saying once they're released. These are pushing that it its limit though. They could be printing money with these... what are they thinking? But I don't own copies though - I definitely wouldn't double-up from a Speakers Corner if I had them.

Yeah, and they're electing to only sell these D2C as well. It's strange.
i think it's only a matter of time before these aren't D2C anymore. the Craft One Steps are no longer D2C--I see that AS is selling em now too. If I had to guess, they would do like a 6 month exclusivity window eventually then sell wholesale to shops. I think the Cars is the only one that sold out so far right?

I see what you did there...

Does anyone have a lead where the Indie version of New Order’s Substance is available online in the US? All my usual go-tos are OOS.

A few mentioned they didn’t get their full shipment so I assume this may come back in stock in a few weeks, but don’t really want to risk it if I can find it reasonably priced.
Last week, I ordered one copy from Plaid Room as a gift for our friend for Cat Sitting while we were away but they only were limited to one per order so I ordered another copy from Dark Side Records for myself. I am not sure if they have still have them in stock but considering you said you checked the regular spots I suspected both must've sold out.

Any opinions on the New Order Substance reissue vs OGs? I'm seeing a lot of "this sounds pretty crunchy and digital" comments online.

I've been enjoying the reissue. The pressing is really well done. No surface noise, flat records.

And isn't it supposed to sound digital? It's a New Order compilation from 1987.
Spinning the red / blue indie version now. It sounds great, IMO, even better than my OG copy. The bass is pretty hefty, in a good way.
