Definitive Audiophile pressings

Received this afternoon. Incredibly impressed by the package job by the eBay seller.

Now I'm going to tinker with my azimuth tool and protractor to see how things look before I listen.
Lucky! I think mine arrived in a gigantic box with some paper towels thrown inside of it for padding hahah Somehow still arrived safe and sound.

What're the chances of MD or MoFi sending me a replacement sleeve for my Bill Withers Carnegie Hall album? Arrived with seam splits on the bottom of both sleeves, eventually my records will fall right out of the bottom.
If you bought it from them, you're probably in luck. I've only had issues from buying from other shops and then they pretty much say screw you hah. MD probably has better CS than MoFi directly.

I just got my copy from MD today too and I've the same issue! I blame the fact that they put those mofi flyers on each lp and overstuffed the package. Why did I need two?

Yea...usually when I buy from anywhere but MD or MoFi, I get seam splits. My Dire Straits from Target came with small seam splits on top and bottom. It is because of those damn advertisements. Target didn't have any left though and it was $33 instead of $50 so I just opted to keep it.

I had So Much for the Afterglow on CD. My brother and I bought it from Columbia Music House. The place where you got 10 CDs for 99c each and then realized that you were on the hook to buy 10 more for $25 each or whatever the scam was!
One of my favorite Homer quotes: “Oh, it’s that record club. The first nine were only a penny. Then they jacked up the price!”

but....but....i like just sliding the inside part out instead of taking the entire box out to get access to the records.

side note: i'm so tempted to get that AMSP and OKComputer box sets even though I have the blue OKNotOk which sounds good to me and I don't think AMSP will ever sound amazing (I have the LRS and a white UK optimal press...) The keep having those boxes in the Buy 2 Get One Target Sale but I keep passing on them...

That’s a whole new level of lazy to a point that I’m not quite prepared for...

In fact I’m now shocked that you own any flat pack furniture 😜

Only buy those boxes if you’re interested in the art. The pressings are identical to the standards and so have no sonic benefits. Indeed the one for A Moon Shaped Pool is notorious for sounding like shit because of the paper inners it comes in!

Haha I just think the nice packaging/ease of getting the records out is wasted by flipping it! There are so many badly packaged box sets (Lou reed cough cough) that when there’s a nice one I appreciate it!

Laaaaaaaazy. I don’t like that I can’t see the spine buuuuut filing it with the rest of Radiohead is the lesser of two evils aaaaaand even if I had the spine facing out i would take the whole box out!

IMO the Sade box is WAY too tightly packed. And several of my individual records had seam splits, making it even harder to get the records out without causing further damage.
