Definitive Audiophile pressings

Is this any good?

I'm confused as to whether the reviews on the page actually match this release. It's a pre-order, so have people actually reviewed it? Perhaps they reviewed a previous press/release and the reviews carried over in some kind of glitch?

If this copy is not the one to get, what's the best Rumours press around?

I believe this might be a repress of the 2011 version which is why people have reviewed it. I have this version and if it's the same one (Fleetwood Mac - Rumours) it sounds phenomenal and seems to be generally regarded as the best pressing available. It has gone for extremely high prices lately after it sold out.

It seems that someone on discogs has already gotten a hold of this 2020 version as well. There's also a 33rpm version of this which is highly regarded too. hard to go wrong with Kevin Gray x Pallas pressings.

Thanks... on order. Just needed this thread's wisdom.

I don't think I can buy from Music Direct or Acoustic sounds anymore. Fedex are just so expensive for international shipping. I bought the Desire super vinyl with 1 other record from Music Direct with 10% off, and have been charged over £60 for shipping, fees and import duties.

I'll still purchase from Deep Discount, but if anyone knows any other US suppliers of AP & Mofi records that don't use FedEx for international shipping, I would be very pleased :)

Not sure if you are aware but Scott Nangle Audio here in the UK tend to have a good stock of AP and Mofi releases. I have never ordered from them before but I believe @Mr Moore has a few times.

Sadly most places here tend to use FedEx internationally that I have seen. Might want to try @Selaws suggestion . I'm not international obviously but AS definitely has the biggest selection of AP records and Music Direct also has the most MoFi as those two are the main/official distributors of both of those labels here.

I've ordered quite a few records from him, and would recommend him to anyone else.

What I have paid to ship from Music Direct works out at around what he would charge, so that is fair. I just think, given the prices they sell for in the US, we should be able to get them imported a bit cheaper. Deep discount works out a lot cheaper, but they have let me down on a few pre-orders & back orders.

Part of the problem with FedEx its they always add an extra £12 as an admin fee, a lot of sellers using other shipping methods will charge the fees upfront so you don't have to pay additional admin charges. They are also just more expensive than anyone else.

In general, from what everyone has said around here, it's simply more expensive to get MoFi and AP in europe/UK. Same in Canada too. Since AP/MoFI don't seem to have any major distribution center outside of the US, the prices get crazy. You may be able to find some US stores that have AP or MoFi (Plaid Room Records comes to mind) but I'm unsure what international delivery service they use. Plaid Room, Toad Hall and The In Groove are three stores here that all sell MoFi and AP so perhaps they might be worth looking into. Nobody has the selection that MD and AS have though, sadly, and those two get first dibs on any represses.
