Definitive Audiophile pressings

With MoFi version in my collection, I just can’t see spending $100+ on this
I’ve got that MoFi as well, but I think the MOV 1LP pressing is nearly as good. The MoFi 45RPM is still great but it’s far from one of the best sounding records in my collection. So I am keen to this upgrade of what is still probably my favourite jazz album of all time!

Where do you get the money from? Surely future Nathan’s pension pot is looking low now?
I’ve used it all up... 🙈

And one of my best friends wants to move out with me to the city in March 2021 and I only have enough money to get a new phone and Exact Rega MM cartridge...

AND I STILL WANNA TRAVEL SOON! 😩

I am motivated to find a higher paying job though! 🤑🧐😏

But yeah, I definitely won’t be buying this Miles Davis 45RPM definitive pressing because I simply can’t afford it. I’m at peace with that though! 👍☯️

As someone who doesn't have an audiophile pressing of Kind of Blue, and since it's a top 10 album of all time for me, I'm considering this one. Does anyone know how these UHQR releases sound? Are we talking One Step level quality? The price certainly matches.
People seem to rave about them from what I have seen. The Jimi Hendrix ones go for a ton of money now.

These appear to be One Step quality. Back in the day, MoFi used UHQR as their branding for their premium quality product. In 1982, they were $50 limited to 5000 copies. Regular MoFis were $16.99. I saw a sealed MoFi UHQR Sgt. Peppers yesterday priced at $775.

I guess MoFi lost the rights to the name and came up with a new process. Hence One Step.

Ah I didn't know that MoFi originally had the rights. I have always known UHQR as an AP brand. The older UHQR like Pink Floyd Dark Side go for lots of money. "Newer" releases like the mono Hendrix regularly seem to go for $400-$500 from what I have seen.

Ah yes. I saw that Sgt Peppers as well but didn't make the connection. Thanks for the background! I think I'll have to snag the Miles

I think I need to grab that UHQR Miles Davis 45RPM too! Kind Of Blue is an album I’d love to have multiple copies of to compare as well, so why not get this definitive Kind Of Blue pressing, ey! 🤷‍♂️😍
