Definitive Audiophile pressings

Well let’s see if they accept the offer 😂
They have accepted some of my offers lately. Only times they didn't were when someone paid full price before they checked the offers. I got a little too cute on an offer for a Mingus mingus mingus etc AP pressing yesterday and somebody bought it.

JPC finally came through! Packaged well and all arrived in one piece with no seam splits. Got 3 Speakers Corner albums from them: Stone Flower - Jobim, Horses - Patti Smith and It's Monk's Time. It was somehow cheaper to order from them than anywhere I've found in the US even with shipping and they had the biggest selection. It took a long time, but that's not really on JPC. I'd definitely recommend them if people are looking for Speakers Corner stuff. Thanks to @Russ I for the original recommendation about JPC!

I hadn't realized this was your first order from them. Glad it arrived and that it worked out!

Pretty good deal on Tea for the Tillerman if someone wants it. It's been sitting there for a bit. Could probably get it for $50 with free shipping on make an offer (anything over $50 ships free).
OMFG! I literally placed an order acoustic sounds this morning for $95. That will teach me to not stop here first.

Weirdly enough, this is also from Acoustic Sounds...I have no clue what they are doing with their discogs pricing. A lot seem to be returns or items that had some superficial damage. But some items are half the price on their discogs vs their site. And other items are 2x the price on discogs vs their site hah.

I might just have to put in an order to JPC. I missed out on getting Horses locally.

KPG Abraxas just showed up from DD. Damned cheap paper sleeves look like they did the usual damage to the vinyl... I cannot stand that companies still use these things...
I'm pretty surprised they do that too. it can't be THAT much more expensive to use non-paper inners. Is it a pressing plant thing? Don't remember where that one is pressed...hopefully the damage isn't too bad.

I think it's a label thing, they decide what to pay for. Sony Legacy picked the cheapest possible option. It's a shame, there's definitely some pops as a result. Beginning of track two when it's quieter. But SO FAR it's not terrible, just so annoyingly preventable. Even those waxy parchment paper sleeves would stop this from happening... instead of those awful sandpaper ones they always use.

Another worthy title/pressing with KPG’s work (lacquer cutting) attached to it. Pressed at QRP.
I'd grab this one but randomly found a really clean OG of it at a Half Price Books when I was visiting Dallas for $8! I think they thought it was a cheap repress since it's a pretty flimsy vinyl haha

Yeah those AAA Jazz Dispensary reissues are nice, and affordable. I've been eyeing the Azar Lawrence Summer Solstice reissue as well, getting an itchy trigger finger for that one.
This is a really good one too-- I hope they do more pressings that aren't through VMP and don't cost an absurd amount of money. I still think they'll repress those VMP versions sooner or later.

Nice! I have an order in to them that also has Horses. One of my items won't be in stock until late March though, so I wait.

It's possible, but I'm not counting on it. Craft and VMP have shown that they are both willing to do short runs and not repress them (see the One-Step limited to 1000 and the RSD titles such as McLemore Avenue, Parish Hall, etc. that will probably not be repressed). The Jazz Dispensary VMP titles were limited to 1000 numbered copies and I'm not really thinking we'll get a repress. Probably why they were so expensive in the first place.
