Definitive Audiophile pressings

I fell absolutely in love with Elements when I first heard it last year and poked around briefly but this pressing seemed all sold out. Was thinking about it again today and did some deep google digging. Out of stock virtually everywhere and selling for $100 on discogs, but somehow found it for original retail at a shop in Florida. Is it a mirage ? Inventory error? I sure hope not, we shall see..
The wide release black should definitely be restocked, but with plant backups, there’ll be a gap where they aren’t readily available. In that timeframe, the secondary market seems to go hogwild. I’ve brought this up before, but it’s definitely concerning to see this type of thing happen in virtually every market right now. I know that discussion goes a bit beyond the N&G jurisdiction!

Okay, question for those of you familiar with Monks Dream... I've got the Impex pressing and starting about halfway through the first track I can hear these occasional clicks here and there on the remainder of that track, but the strange thing is they're showing up in the centred stereo image, whereas pressing issues pretty much always pop on the left or right speaker, or both. But this is dead centre in the horn/bass position. I streamed it and I could hear a couple of them but not to the extent I hear on the Impex. Am I just hearing a very clean master of the horn player or the bass player messing with a mic or doing something with their gear on mic during the track? Because I don't think it's possible this is actually a pressing issue with it coming through dead centre.

I know mine has some pops and clicks but I need to put it on and see exactly where.

You guys are more dangerous than the preorder thread. Decided “sure, I’ll grab the KPG+SH Moondance for a twenty spot.”

got it in, verified it was what it was, then popped open ‘cogs to check the run outs and HAY GUESS WHO ALREADY APPARENTLY OWNS THIS.

I have two copies of the Impex pressing and they both have issues on the first track. I remember there being some Discogs comments about it as well. It’s been awhile since I spun it but I think I was hearing about 10 pop like sounds. I don’t remember where they were coming through in the stereo field. It was nice of them to send me a replacement copy but less nice that it had the same issue.

To be fair, while they’re fine albums, I didn’t expect a 50th anniversary treatment of those records.
Both have over 450 different pressings, so not like they have shied away from pressing more.

The 2016 reissue series was ostensibly to mark the 50th anniversary of the bands formation and that is all they have done. I don't think the band really gives a fig any other anniversary. I would doubt any Roger Waters Floyd studio album would get any special reissue, that is why they keep reissuing the later stuff only

Cross post. Looks like MoFi is listing the Preorder as Sold Out at the moment. Better get crackin’ if u want one.

Wow! for 10,000 that was quick. Makes the decision easy, I'll wait for the 33rpm repress.

If u have FOMO hit you late watch PlaidRoom on release day. They have been posting One Steps. This may really benefit the quiet vinyl but as we talked about earlier in the thread my other MoFi version is already demo quality.
