Definitive Audiophile pressings

I saw that the Built To Spill "Tell It Like It Is" came back in stock at Amazon.ca so I ordered it... but I didn't notice the entry switched over to the 2014 pressing for some reason, which is what I received. Damn it. I wanted the 2020 KPG@CA pressing. Luckily it's not too hard to send it back.

EDIT: Keep It Like A Secret...

I'm not encyclopedic w BTS but what is "Tell It Like It Is"

I thought it might be something like that but I haven't kept up w them in a handful of years and I couldn't find that album on discogs!

I appreciate that you pointed it out though!

So I can confirm that the 2014 Keep It Like A Secret by MOV is not KPG@CA (the deadwax for it isn't on Discogs).

The newer 2020 pressing supposedly is according to the fine folks on here (no deadwax on discogs for this one either).

Is the 2020 reissue a recut or a repressing of the 2007 cut? I’ve got the 2007 and KPG@ATM cut. If it is a new cut, I wonder which sounds better? The 2007 I am pretty sure was pressed at RTI also.

No need to wonder. All those KG BTS cuts from the mid-2000s were all AAA. Doubt they'll get better than that or they'd redo them. The 2020 versions are probably just reissues with the old plates.

Also, the MOVs are fine, but sound thin in comparison to the KG cuts, imo.

The discogs listing for the 2020 reissue of Perfect From Now On indicates it's a repress of the 2007 KPG@ATM cut, so I would assume the 2020 reissue of Keep It Like A Secret is too.

There's also a mono Boom Boom / RTI version. I don't have the Someday mono, but have two of the other mono Miles albums and they are great.
I’ve got it. It’s fabulous, as are the others in this series he did!

Oh, got it, specific pressings for this title. Can’t help but will be interested to see what’s recommended.
I’m interested in best pressings for their 4 proper releases. I’ve got this version of their 3rd on vinyl, and it sounds alright, not sure it’ll sound any better.
