Definitive Audiophile pressings

I don't understand why the prices are going up in the UK with the exchange rate so good. We should set up a Needles & Grooves European record distribution club & import them ourselves.

It’s £62.50 from MCRU for me with the VAT shorn off with delivery bringing it to £71. Hopefully An Post are still too mental busy to bother referring to customs for VAT...

Honestly I’m humming and hawing, that’s €85, I was only paying €55 with delivery to DD, do I like this album that much...

Definitely makes it more palatable without VAT, but I agree. I've got most of my MoFi's from Deep Discount, I don't feel to bad about paying around £50, but north of that gets me worried.

I don't want to persuade you but, if you don't get it now & want it later it'll probably cost you more, given it's limited to 4000.

No clue. It was only mentioned in a comment by Joe Harley. There’s no official news or press release. Somebody asked Joe if it was getting the Tone Poet treatment when Joe posted the photo of the master tape and he said no but Kev is working on it.

It does sound really fantastic...I don’t have another copy to compare it to but I think it’s one of the better sounding MoFis that have come out recently. But it does just come down to how much you’ll give it a spin/how much you like the album obviously.

Yeah I bought it in the end but lots of money. Pity there wasn’t an Speakers Corner of this one too. I’m hoping that’s me done with expensive audiophile records for the time being! Especially seeing as I just bought a new amplifier!

I also ordered on release day and mine went from "On hold" to "Received" a couple days ago. They haven't charged me yet either.

Got a copy of the standard press through, cut by Heino lea at Optimal. Definitely a different pressing.

I think I'll end up with far too many copies of this.

It's really well pressed and is a great package.

I haven't got a chance to give a proper listen & I'm going to visit some family, but first impressions are good. It's cut louder than my OG & first impressions it does sound a bit different. But I'm going to have to sit down and listen to the full album.

I had an issue and went back to Jazzmessengers and they told me to mail him directly. great service. great records.

Should message them, but probably means they have sold their full allocation and we need to wait for the next pressing. We have the orders in early soo should be Ok.

edit - looks like its up fro pre-order at acoustic sounds again
