I think AP has 45 and 33. They were doing 200g for the 33 but decided a few month ago to stop doing 200g. I don’t know if this means discontinuing the 33 or doing the 33 at 180g.Always a great sounding album. I have an original Bethlehem mono release but never went for the stereo. AP releases a 45 rpm version right? I’ll definitely pick up this new version though.
Does anyone have the Aretha Franklin Live at the Fillmore Speakers Corner? Any pressing and sound quality thoughts?
I have this one. It sounds fine. Edit: It's actually very good!Anyone have and care to comment of the recording/remastering quality of the 2-3 current Rodriguez albums out there and if the jump from digital on these is worth it ? And know where to purchase so the artist gets the most of royalties ?
They're just gonna do all the releases on 180g instead.I think AP has 45 and 33. They were doing 200g for the 33 but decided a few month ago to stop doing 200g. I don’t know if this means discontinuing the 33 or doing the 33 at 180g.

See it's out of stock again. I ordered from Deep Discount the other day, showing as in stock at the time, but they have sent everything else from the order and ignored this. I doubt I will get it.
Sorry, I know it isn't the question you asked but I really like this Mono Gris-Gris that Kevin Gray cut:I don’t have any Dr. John in my collection. Can anyone comment on the AP (Gumbo’s) or Speakers Corner (Gris Gris/The Sun, Moon and Herbs) ?
Speakers Corner is the definitive Gris Gris imo. It sounded better than the jackpot mono to me and beat my (noisy) original pressing too. I only have an original Gumbo that sounds pretty good so can’t speak on reissues. I need more Dr John in my collection though. I quite like all his albums through the mid 70’s. Not sure I’ve ever listened to anything after that though.I don’t have any Dr. John in my collection. Can anyone comment on the AP (Gumbo’s) or Speakers Corner (Gris Gris/The Sun, Moon and Herbs) ?
AP Gumbo is excellent. Can't really imagine it sounding better.I don’t have any Dr. John in my collection. Can anyone comment on the AP (Gumbo’s) or Speakers Corner (Gris Gris/The Sun, Moon and Herbs) ?
Yes, I've owned two copies -- the blue and the black presses. The blue was bad -- plenty of surface noise. The black is much better, albeit not perfect depending on the track and, bc this is ambient, any noise is more noticeable. But, overall -- factoring the song selection, sound quality, packaging -- I think this collection is top tier. It also led me to buy albums by some of the artists, including Green (Hiroshi Yoshimura and an exceptional release), Horizon Vol. 1 (Masahiro Saguya). Eventually, I'll pick up copies of the other two Empire of Signs releases, Commissions (Inoyama Land) and Music for Nine PostcardsDoes anyone have this one and have any opinions on the pressing?
環境音楽 = Kankyō Ongaku (Japanese Ambient, Environmental & New Age Music 1980 - 1990)
I don't have either but I looked at getting Green or Music for Nine Postcards but the cogs reviews were really iffy on pretty much all of the pressings so I held off. It's actually why I ended up going with the black of the comp. Which copy of Green do you have and how does it sound? Ideally I wanted the OG US release nectar it has the added nature recordings on it, but doesn't seem like that one got repressed...Yes, I've owned two copies -- the blue and the black presses. Do you have either of those last two?
Green -- I have this one (black repress). My copy is excellent. Okay great thanks, that's the one I had kinda targeted. To be honest now that I have the comp I will LIKELY hold off just because I have limited space and these 3 discs probably fills my necessary quotient for Ambient Japanese Music on vinyl between the years of 1980 and 1990. But if the pressing is a total disaster then maybe I'll try my luck with that copy of Green.Green -- I have this one (black repress). My copy is excellent. Was Green the black vinyl? And I'm assuming it came in a paper sleeve?I have Green and Nine Postcards, Green came with a lovey scribble scratch on side 2 that I can’t get replaced, Nine Postcards is fine, a bit noisy.
