same price at AS. They also have the 3x10" with complete sessions at AS apparently.
I have the 3 x10", not listened to it in a long time but really liked. Sounds pretty great, but I suspect Sam's sound's better, I just can't justify having both.

Yea you know. That classic Jeffrey Beck album Turth! And hopefully it’s not a MoFi copy of “Turth”
It's been sitting in my cart for 4 days. It's basically a novelty tune album but the first one sounded so good I'm having a hard time letting this one go...Did anyone get the Son of Schmilson Mofi, is it good, does it sound great?

I don't know if I'd call it a novelty album, but it is definitely quirky and has a unique sense of humor about it. The songs are really well done on it and it sounds fantastic. It's been sitting in my cart for 4 days. Wow, my package was delivered to my door today, 7 days from placing the order. Remarkable.Ah, go ahead.....it's fun. I have 4 LPs on their way to me and I think it cost about $100, shipped, so you don't have to go crazy to play .
I just ordered 1974 AP- pressings of Rubber Soul and Revolver, Ex- vinyl with obis. I will update when they arrive from Tokyo. Based on my prior orders from record city, they should be here in a few hours. How about japanese pressings of the Beatles? Anyone go down that rabbit hole?
I sent the following email to their support:quick question about the Record City website: how do you delete stuff from your wantlist?
the '79 is pretty sweet, but there's also something to be said for clean/quiet, so I think it would depend on the condition of the MoFi (since I assume very clean 2016 pressings will be easier to come by). All things equal, I wouldn't pass on the MoFi, but once you start factoring in price and condition, it becomes a tougher call.My local shop just previewed the used arrivals going out tomorrow and the MoFi DSOTM is among them. Not sure if it’s the 79 or 81 release. Any thoughts on that versus the 2016?

Go Canada!!Ok, so quick impressions of the 2016 BG remaster of DSOTM vs the Canadian 1973 Harvest pressing.
First some photos (2016 BG left, 1973 Canadian Harvest right):

The packaging is pretty faithful. The 2016 has a nice velvety mat finish while the Canadian 1973 is glossy. The prism is more "glassy" on the original and the inner gatefold fonts are different. The 2016 has the remaster credits in blue on the bottom left while the original obviously doesn't need it.
I was expecting the original to sound much better but the 2016 is actually really good - it does not feel digital to me in any way. Both are similar in dynamics and volume on my set-up. Overall, I'd say the highs are more detailed and prominent on the 2016 while the 1973 has a rounder, tighter bass. But overall really close: the bass is still good on the 2016 and the highs are crisp and clean on the 1973. My 1973 is dusty in the quieter parts so it's nice to have the 2016. That said the 2016 has a bit of background groove noise too, so I wouldn't call it quiet.
I'd say the 2016 is just fine if you want a copy of DSOTM that's easy to find at a decent price - it's very similar to my 1973 Canadian Harvest anyway.
Website is cheaper (cogs do take a bite) and has pics for most listings.
Website. Prices and shipping are cheaper I think.
