Definitive Audiophile pressings

I have this which sounds excellent. I believe it's AAA (says new mastering from original tapes on the hype sticker), but could have digital in the chain. But very much recommended, even if just for the second lp of different takes. it has just been repressed so it is widely available now, I assume it's from the same plates.

I also have this but it's been at my brothers forbears and haven't really listened to it in a long time. I remember it sounding great & requiem pour en con is a classic track. amazing.

I recently picked up the 1st (Abbey Road) box set and haven't listened to it all, first impression is that there are some great sounding albums, well pressed but might be the odd one that doesn't sound so good.

Thanks for that... I'm going to look for that pressing of Melody Nelson. I should look into the La Pacha soundtrack. Been a long time since I've listened to that but I remember it being quite solid. Plus as you say, Requiem Pour Un Con is great - one of my favorite SG tracks.

My LITA pressing sounds good. I’d like to get some audiophile reissues of his work but not sure if that will ever happen. I have a mixture of reissues of his Initials BB and Bonnie and Clyde albums, originals or early reissues of Jane Birken through the L’Homme albums. The two Bardot albums sound OK everything else sounds pretty good but not stellar.

Is there a definitive copy of 'Band on the Run' to look out for? After doing some huge organizing, I pulled this one out for the first time in a long while, and realized how beat to shit it is. Old copies are pretty cheap and attainable if there's not a definitive go-to.

I have this one and don’t remember any issues with it - if you’d like I can spin it later to see how it sounds?

I have a US and UK first pressing, but I reach for this one, which is somewhat rare but AAA:

Thanks. No rush, but let me know if you do. I assume that one is just a color variant of the 2017 pressing, so I'm sure I could snag one in black

I have this one which is the same one, I believe that @tvham linked to though on black wax instead of white and I think it sounds great.

Same one I have, found it new at Barnes and Nobles of all places when picking up books one day. I will retire my older original copy to the Pif thread if your interested @CrazyDiamond84 ?

I'd be interested. Is it in pretty decent shape? I'm sure it's at least better than what I have as the gatefold is completely torn in half, and the record just looks wretched. I have no idea if I bought it like that, or something happened to it.
